The forearm muscles that flex, extend and rotate the wrist and forearm are involved. Rotation is mainly enabled by the wrist and radioulnar joints, with the elbow and shoulder helping to position and steady the arm.

To keep the ball bouncing near the centre of the paddle, I used small, controlled wrist movements, kept the paddle steady and watched the ball closely. While moving, I took balanced steps and adjusted my pace and taps to maintain control.
