Question
How much distance, in metres, a wheel of 25 cm radius will cover if it rotates 350 times?

Solution
Given, radius of wheel (r) = 25 cm = `25/100`m = `1/4`m ...`[∵ 1 cm = 1/100m]`
∵ Distance travelled in one rotation = 2πr = `2 xx 22/7 xx 1/4 = 11/4`m
∴ Distance travelled in 350 rotation = `11/7 xx 350` = 550 m
Hence, the wheel covers 550 m distance.
