Solution 1

  1. India’s population density is high because most of the areas have natural resources that support agriculture and industries.
  2. Other factors like water availability and numerous cities have also caused the growth of population.
  3. The population in India is unevenly distributed. The northern plains have been densely populated for centuries due to fertile land, the availability of water, and economic activities.
  4. Rivers like the Ganga and the Yamuna provide large tracts of fertile land apart from water. Also, the terrain is not a difficult one to travel.
  5. Due to the availability of fertile land and water, they prefer settling in the northern plains as opposed to the desert areas of northwest India.

  2. The country’s excellent climate is responsible for its high population.
  3. India covers 2.41% of the earth’s surface but has 17.5% of the world’s population.
