Solution
The area of the rectangle = 36 sq cm
⇒ Length × Breadth = 36 sq cm
∴ The possible dimensions of the rectangle and their perimeters are as follows:
| Dimensions | Perimeter |
| 1 cm × 36 cm | 2(1 + 36) cm = 74 cm |
| 2 cm × 18 cm | 2(2 + 18) cm = 40 cm |
| 3 cm × 12 cm | 2(3 + 12) cm = 30 cm |
| 4 cm × 9 cm | 2(4 + 9) cm = 26 cm |
| 6 cm × 6 cm | 2(6 + 6) cm = 24 cm |
