Solution

Homogametic Heterogametic
An individual that produces only one type of gamete with respect to sex chromosomes. An individual that produces two different types of gametes with respect to sex chromosomes.
The sex chromosomes are identical (XX or ZZ). The sex chromosomes are different (XY or ZW).
All gametes carry the same sex chromosome. Half the gametes carry one sex chromosome, and the other half carry the other sex chromosome.
Example: Human female (XX) is homogametic and produces only X-bearing ova. Example: Human male (XY) is heterogametic and produces X-bearing and Y-bearing sperm.
