Solution
Uterus: The uterus is a single, thick-walled, muscular organ in which the blastocyst implants and the embryo develops. Its wall has three layers:
- Perimetrium: Thin outer covering.
- Myometrium: Thick smooth-muscle layer that contracts during labour.
- Endometrium: Glandular, blood-rich inner lining that undergoes cyclic changes and supports implantation.
The lower narrow part is the cervix; its canal connects the uterus to the vagina.
