Solution
Lordosis (Hollow Back) is a postural deformity in which there is an excessive inward curve of the spine, mainly in the lumbar (lower back) region. A person with lordosis may have a bulging abdomen, forward-tilted pelvis and prominent buttocks, giving an exaggerated or swayback posture. The lower-back muscles become shortened while the abdominal muscles become elongated.
Problems associated with lordosis:
- It may cause poor or exaggerated posture.
- It can cause lower-back pain.
- It may result in an awkward gait.
- It can affect normal body movement.
- Excessive curvature may cause a swayback or saddleback position.
