उत्तर

Lordosis (Hollow Back) is a postural deformity in which there is an excessive inward curve of the spine, mainly in the lumbar (lower back) region. A person with lordosis may have a bulging abdomen, forward-tilted pelvis and prominent buttocks, giving an exaggerated or swayback posture. The lower-back muscles become shortened while the abdominal muscles become elongated.

Problems associated with lordosis:

  1. It may cause poor or exaggerated posture.
  2. It can cause lower-back pain.
  3. It may result in an awkward gait.
  4. It can affect normal body movement.
  5. Excessive curvature may cause a swayback or saddleback position.
