Solution

  • We conducted a Model Gram Sabha in our class to discuss the local issue of cleanliness and responsibility towards public property. Some students acted as the Sarpanch, Gram Sabha members and villagers, while others presented different problems faced in the community.
  • The discussion focused on littering, improper waste disposal, dirty surroundings and damage to public property such as parks, roads, benches and school facilities. Students shared their opinions and suggested solutions. After discussing different views, the class decided to organise regular cleanliness drives, use dustbins properly, reduce plastic waste and protect public property.
  • The activity showed us how people can participate in decision-making, express their views, listen to others and reach decisions collectively. It helped us understand that democracy is not only about voting but also about active participation, cooperation, responsibility and solving community problems together.
