Subject: Complaint letter regarding the irregular water supply.

Respected Sir,
We are totally of five hundred families residing in our locality. We are facing a severe problem of growing instances of insufficient water supply for the last three months in our locality.
May I suggest that adequate measures to save water should be initiated and implemented. Programs for recycling of water and rain - harvesting will go a long way in meeting the demand for water, especially in such times of crisis. Those engaged in farming and other related agricultural activities must be provided incentives to build storage tanks in the fields and use drip irrigation. Suitable measures must be taken to curb the wastage of water in households and industries by imposing restrictions and ‘fines’ for breach of rules.
We have already given many complaints to our local authorities. They are always giving us empty promises and doing nothing. So kindly am requesting you to look into this matter personally. If you do the needful then I shall be very much thankful to you.
Thanking You,
Yours Faithfully,
XYz
