1. Jharkhand:
   • Jharkhand was formed on 15 November 2000 by separating it from Bihar.

   • The area is rich in minerals like coal, iron, and bauxite, but local people felt neglected in terms of development.
   • Formation of Jharkhand aimed to ensure better governance and development of tribal communities.
2. Telangana:
   • Telangana was created on 2 June 2014 from Andhra Pradesh.
   • The Telangana movement lasted for decades, led by demands for separate statehood.
   • People of the region felt there was an unequal distribution of resources, jobs, and irrigation facilities.
   • Hyderabad was made the capital, and the new state aimed at balanced regional development.
3. Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh:
   • In 2019, the state of Jammu and Kashmir was reorganised under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act.
   • It was divided into two Union Territories:
