  1. Ambient temperature and the distance between the source and the reflecting surface are important factors in the generation of echoes. A distance of at least 17.2 m between the source and the reflecting surface is required for a clear echo to be heard at 22°C.
  2. The classroom must be designed in such a way that the distance between two walls is less than 17.2 meters to avoid the formation of echoes.
  3. Also, the ceiling should be curved so that the reflection of sound waves is uniform throughout the room.
  4. Classrooms are generally rectangular in design to avoid echo generation.
