Solution

Let the distance travelled by truck in 5 hours be x km.

25 minutes = `25/60` hour = `5/12` hour

Distance (in km) 14 x
Time (in hours) `5/12` 5

⇒ `14/(5/12) = x/5`

⇒ `(14xx5xx12)/5 = x`

⇒ x = 168

∴ Distance travelled by the truck in 5 hours is 168 km.
