Sentence ‘a’ and ‘b’ are Simple Sentences.

Each of them has only one subject and one predicate.

Sentence ‘a’ and ‘b’ can be written in another way.

This is a complex sentence.

Degrees of Comparison of Adjectives.

In sentence (iii) the adjective 'strongest' refers to the highest degree of comparison of one with more than two nouns. It is called Superlative Degree. (-est is added to the basic Adjective)
