- The right to information is represented in above example. According to this right, consumer should be provided with adequate information about all aspects of goods and services.
- In this case, aggrieved consumer can approach Consumer Redressal Forums at the district, state and national level depending on the value of goods and claim for compensation. We do not know the quantity of tined food purchased. Hence, it is difficult to estimate whether the consumer will seek redressal at district, state or national level.
- It is the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that has established three tier quasi-judicial machinery for resolving disputes and has provided consumers with various rights.
