h = 200m,

ρ = 1060 kg/m³,

P0 = 1.013 × 105

Pa, g = 9.8 m/s²

To find:

Presssure 200m below the surface

Solution:

Absolute pressure, P = P0 + hρg

= (1.013 x 105) + (200 x 1060) x (9.8)

= (1.013 × 105) + (20.776 × 105)

= 21.789 × 105

= 2.1789 MPa
