उत्तर

An ionic compound comprises ions bound by strong forces in a solid state. This facilitates the conduction of electric current through the solution. Covalent compounds are created by the sharing of electrons. Ions that facilitate electrical conductivity are absent in these molecules. Covalent substances, therefore, do not facilitate the conduction of electricity.
