उत्तर

Dolly Winthrop is a generous, kind, genuinely helpful woman. The woman who aids Silas greatly. She first  visits him, bringing him a plate of cakes with the initials I.H.S. on them and begging him to at least give up  weaving on Sunday. When Silas starts caring for Eppie, Dolly advises him how to care for a child. Later, she  is Eppie's godmother and Silas's trusted advisor in religion and life. Silas goes to seek her advice whenever  he has a problem, whether it concerns Eppie's welfare or his past. Dolly makes him see that he should trust  the world. When she gives Silas the advice to attend church especially because of the season, it is to help  him become more social. Dolly wants to make sure that Silas is bringing Eppie up in the proper way and she  feels that going to church will help him in that aspect. People had seen Silas as an outcast, a misfit, and that  is never good for raising a child. When one is at church, the barriers are eventually taken down, and people  open up more. Dolly was being genuine in the fact that church should be important in every parent's life
