Let the measure of the supplementary angle be x.
85° + x = 180°
∴ 85° + x − 85° = 180° − 85° ...(Subtracting 85 from both sides)
∴ x = 95°
Hence, the measure of the supplement of an angle of measure 85° is 95°.
