Solution
Given: a = `1/2` and d = `3/2`
an = a + (n − 1)d
a1 = a = `1/2`
a2 = a + d
= `1/2 + 3/2`
= `4/2`
= 2
a3 = a + 2d
= `1/2 + 2(3/2)`
= `1/2 + 3`
= `1/2 + 6/2`
= `7/2`
a4 = a + 3d
= `1/2 + 3(3/2)`
= `1/2 + 9/2`
= `10/2`
= 5
The first four terms are `1/2, 2, 7/2, 5`
