  1. Disasters are harmful events that frequently occur in the environment and cause human, material, economic, and environmental losses. Examples include floods, famines, cyclones, earthquakes, and so on.
  2. Disasters are classified into two types: natural and man-made disaster.
  3. The impact of disasters is determined by their duration and aftereffects.
  4. Disaster management is the prevention of disasters by developing plans to deal with them or gaining the necessary skills. It is separated into two parts: pre-disaster management (such as gathering information, remaining alert, and so on) and post-disaster management. (For example, rescue operations, etc.)
