Question
Why are NOR gates considered as universal gates?
Advertisements
Solution 1
Because they can be used to make any gates
Solution 2
NOR gates are called universal gates because all the other gates like and, OR, NOT, XOR and XNOR can be derived from it.
These gates have the simplest circuit and all other "gates" can be obtained by an arrangement of NOR gates in an electrical circuit.
