Solution
Gopal Krishna Gokhale is regarded as the political guru of Mahatma Gandhi. It is so believed because he played an important role in both, Gandhi coming back to India permanently, and as well as Gandhi’s decision to not involve himself in India’s political life immediately after return. It was because of Gokhale’s advice that Gandhi chose to travel through the length and breadth of India’s rural hinterland first and understand the situation here.
