Let a = 4, b = 5, c = 19 and d = 25
then ad = 4 x 25 = 100
bc = 5 x 19 = 95
Here 100 > 95 ⇒ ad > bc so `a/b > c/d`
⇒ 4 : 5 is greater.
Hence, `(4)/(5)` is greater.
