Solution

A party is recognized as a national party if it fulfills any one of the following conditions:

  1. It wins at least 2% of the seats in the Lok Sabha (i.e., at least 11 seats) from at least three different states.
  2. It is recognized as a state party in at least four states.
  3. It secures at least 6% of valid votes in four or more states in a general election to the Lok Sabha or to the Legislative Assembly, in addition to winning at least four Lok Sabha seats.
