Solution

Diary Entry

20 December

Dear Diary,

I am a small bird, but my song carries a message larger than myself. In Emily Dickinson’s “Hope”, I represent the quiet, tireless courage that lives in the human soul. I keep singing through storms and ask for nothing in return. In Thomas Hardy’s “The Darkling Thrush”, I sing amid a bleak winter landscape, offering a hint of joy when the world seems lifeless.

Sometimes people wonder how I can sing when everything around them feels cold or broken. I sing because hardship is not the whole story. A new beginning may be hidden from sight, but it is still possible. I cannot remove anyone’s grief, yet I can remind them to hold on, accept change and take one step forward. If my song warms even one lonely heart, then my flight has meaning.

Good night, The little bird of hope
