Solution
Multinational corporations (MNCs) may ensure that workers benefit from globalisation by implementing strong ethical standards throughout their worldwide supply chains. Instead of driving local suppliers into aggressive price wars that compel factory owners to minimise labour expenses, multinational corporations must offer fair contractual rates that allow local companies to pay decent salaries, regulated working hours, and safe working conditions. Furthermore, multinational corporations should require all of their third-party manufacturers to follow national labour laws, ensuring that workers receive permanent contracts and critical social security benefits rather than being exploited as temporary or casual labour. Finally, they can actively invest in local communities by supporting skill-development programs and technical training, which will immediately improve the workforce’s long-term livelihood.
