Question

What are your impressions of Jacques Roux? Give suitable references from the story.

Answer 1

Jacques Roux appears to be nervous, simple and practical. He is preparing to give his first lecture and is unsure about appearing before the public. When Robichon offers him money to take his place, Roux agrees. He also understands the value of publicity and accepts Robichon’s offer because it can benefit him professionally.
