Verify whether the following are zeros of the polynomial indicated against them, or not

p(x) = 2x − 1, x = `1/2`

p(x) = 2x − 1, x = `1/2`

`"p"(1/2) = 2(1/2) - 1`

= 1 – 1

= 0 

∴ `1/2` is the zero of the polynomial.
