Question
Verify whether the indicated numbers is zeroes of the polynomials corresponding to them in the following case:
`f (x) = 2x +1, x = 1/2`

Solution
`f (x) = 2x +1, x = 1/2`
put `x=1/2⇒ f(1/x)=2xx(1/2)+1=1+1=2≠0`
`∴x=1/2` is not a root of `f(x)=2x+1`
