Solution

Given:

V = 18480 cm3

h = 40 cm.

Formula:

Volume of a cone V = `1/3` πr²h.

Solve for r2: r2 = `(3V)/(π h)`

r² = `(3 × 18480)/(π × 40)`

= `55440/(40π)`

= `1386/π.`

Therefore r = `sqrt(1386/π) cm`

= `sqrt(441.18)` cm

= 21.00 cm.
