Solution

Wordsworth uses vivid imagery to help us imagine the scene clearly. We can picture the young girl working alone in the field, cutting and binding the grain with her sickle. The poet also creates the image of the deep valley filled with the sound of her song. The images of the nightingale and cuckoo make the song seem even more beautiful. Thus, the imagery makes the poem more lively, emotional and memorable.
