Solution

Let r and h be the base radius and the height of the solid cylinder, respectively.

We have,

(r + h) = 37m

As, the total surface area of the cylinder = 1628 m2

`rArr 2pir(r + h) = 1628`

`rArr 2 xx 22/7xxrxx37 = 1628`

`rArr r = (1628xx7)/(2xx22xx37)`

`rArr r = 7 "m"`

So , h = (37 - 7) = 30 m
