Solution
Sum of two numbers = `(-3)/8`
One number = `3/16`
∴ Second number = `(-3)/8 - 3/16`
| 2 | 8,16 |
| 2 | 4, 8 |
| 2 | 2, 4 |
| 2 | 1, 2 |
| 1, 1 |
L.C.M. of 8 and 16 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 = 16
`= (- 3 xx 2)/(8 xx 2) - (3 xx 1)/(16 xx 1)`
(∵ L.C.M. of 8 and 16 = 16)
`= (- 6 -3)/16 = (- 9)/16`
∴ Second number = `(- 9)/16`
