`5/1 + (-3)/4 + (-5)/8`
`= (5 xx 8)/(1 xx 8) + ((-3) xx 2)/(4 xx 2) + ((-5) xx 1)/(8 xx 1)`
(∵ L.C.M. of 1, 4 and 8 = 8)
`= (40)/8 + (-6)/8 + (-5)/8`
` = (40 - 6 - 5)/8 = (40 - 11)/8 =(29)/8`
