Solution

Portia and Calpurnia are loving and devoted wives who are deeply concerned about their husbands.

Portia is strong, intelligent and courageous. She notices Brutus’ disturbed behaviour and asks him to share his secrets with her. She even wounds herself to prove her strength and ability to keep a secret.

Calpurnia is more fearful and superstitious. She is alarmed by her dream and the strange omens and repeatedly begs Caesar not to go to the Capitol.

Thus, both women show deep love and concern, but Portia represents courage and loyalty, while Calpurnia represents fear, intuition and protective affection.
