Solution

The following powers of the Lok Sabha show its superiority over the Rajya Sabha:

  1. Money Bills and Financial Control: Money Bills may be introduced only in the Lok Sabha under Article 110. The Rajya Sabha cannot reject a Money Bill, but can offer revisions that the Lok Sabha can adopt or reject.
  2. No Confidence Motion: Only the Lok Sabha may remove the government with a No Confidence Motion. If passed, the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers will resign.
  3. Control Over the Executive: The Council of Ministers is collectively responsible specifically to the Lok Sabha. Consequently, a Motion of No-Confidence against the government can only be introduced and passed in the Lok Sabha. If such a motion is passed, the Prime Minister and the entire Union Cabinet must resign. The Rajya Sabha does not possess the power to remove a government from office.
