Solution
The weight of fish caught by Neetu = `3 3/4` kg = `15/4` kg
The weight of fish caught by Narendra = `2 1/2` kg = `5/2` kg
∴ Neetu’s fish weigh more than that of Narendra by = `15/4` kg – `5/2` kg
= `15/4` kg – `(5 xx 2)/(2 xx 2)` kg
= `15/4` kg – `10/4` kg ...[∵ L.C.M. of 4 and 2 is 4]
= `((15 - 10))/4` kg
= `5/4` kg or `1 1/4` kg
