  1. A: Cerebrum
    B: Cerebellum
    C: Medulla oblongata
  2. Function of part A (Cerebrum): It is the site of controlling memory, reasoning, thinking, perception, emotions and speech.
    Function of part B (Cerebellum): It maintains posture, equilibrium, and muscular co-ordination.
    Function of part C (Medulla oblongata): It contains centres for cardiac, respiratory and vasomotor activities. It also co-ordinates reflexes for swallowing, coughing, sneezing and vomiting.
  3. The three protective membranes covering the brain are dura mater, pia mater, and arachnoid.
  4. The basic unit of brain is neuron.
