B: Cerebellum
C: Medulla oblongata - Function of part A (Cerebrum): It is the site of controlling memory, reasoning, thinking, perception, emotions and speech.
Function of part B (Cerebellum): It maintains posture, equilibrium, and muscular co-ordination.
Function of part C (Medulla oblongata): It contains centres for cardiac, respiratory and vasomotor activities. It also co-ordinates reflexes for swallowing, coughing, sneezing and vomiting. - The three protective membranes covering the brain are dura mater, pia mater, and arachnoid.
- The basic unit of brain is neuron.
