Solution 1
The image given above is of coal that has versatile uses. There are two disadvantages of it:
- Environmental Pollution: Carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming, is released when coal is burned in large quantities. In addition, it releases additional pollutants like nitrogen oxides and sulphur dioxide, which can lead to respiratory issues and acid rain.
- Non-renewable Resource: Since coal is a limited resource, it cannot be used indefinitely. The process of mining coal can result in environmental damage, including habitat destruction and water pollution, and its extraction and use deplete natural reserves.
Solution 2
Disadvantages:
- It causes high pollution in air and soil or carbon dioxide emission.
- It is non-renewable or non-replenishable.
- It is expensive.
- It’s use leads to global warming.
