Solve the following equation: 4x + 4.9 = 6.5
Advertisements
Solution
4x + 4.9 = 6.5
⇒ 4x + 4.9 - 4.9 = 6.5 - 4.9
⇒ 4x = 1.6 (Substrating 4.9 from both sides)
⇒ `"4x"/4 = 1.6/4` (Dividing by 4)
⇒ x = 0.4
∴ x = 0.4
