Solution

`("2x" - 3)/3 - ("x" - 5) = "x"/3`

⇒ `("2x" - 3)/3 - ("x" - 5)/1 = "x"/3`

⇒ `("2x" - 3 - "3x" + 15 = "x")/3`

⇒ - x + 12 = x

⇒ 12 = x + x

⇒ 2x = 12

∴ x = `12/2 = 6`
