= `(sin x + cosx) d/(dx) (sin x + cosx) + (sin x + cosx) d/(dx) (sin x + cosx)`

= `2(sinx + cosx) d/(dx) (sinx + cosx)`

= `2(sinx + cosx)(cosx - sin x)`

= `2(cos^2x - sin^2x)`

= `2 cos^2x`
