Solution
A very good morning to all jury members, friends and fellow opponents. Today, I, Sujatha, am going to speak on the topic ‘Rain harvesting is the only solution to water crisis in the recent times’.
Rainwater harvesting is a popular approach for saving water. It refers to storing rainwater for various purposes. Rainwater harvesting aims to reduce waste and prevent runoff. In other words, rainwater is collected using simple techniques. This method is very beneficial in India, where water scarcity is a major issue. Rainwater harvesting is simple and accessible to most people. Encourage this practice to provide free access to clean water for all.
Rainwater harvesting helps keep groundwater levels stable. By harvesting rainfall, we may continue to use groundwater, which will refill over time. Rainwater collection prevents water from being logged on roads. It also lowers the risk of oil erosion. Rainwater collection provides the purest and highest quality water for consumption.
Critics argue that rainwater gathering requires infrastructure and is not feasible for many individuals. Rainwater harvesting is a simple and accessible solution for everyone. Rainwater is harvested from the rooftop. A building’s roof can gather rainwater. The process involves installing pipes on the roof to connect to a pit or tank below. The pipes channel water from the roof into the tank, preventing it from falling off. This is an economical and effective approach to collect rainwater.
I agree that rain harvesting is the only solution to the recent water issue.
Thank You.
