Solution

The President is the head of a Municipal Council. The members of the Municipal Council elect the President and the Vice-President from among themselves in the first meeting after the general elections. The President presides over the meetings of the Council and plays a key role in its functioning. Both the President and the Vice-President are elected for a term of five years, which is equal to the tenure of the Municipal Council. However, they can be removed from their posts by a resolution passed by a two-thirds majority of the members of the Council.
