Solution

Find the slope of DE

`"Slope"_(DE) = (1 − (− 2))/(3 − 1`

= `3/2`

Find the slope of EF

`"Slope"_(EF) = (6 − 1)/(6 − 3)`

= `5/3`

`"Slope"_(DE) ≠ "Slope"_(EF)`    ...[the points do not lie on the same straight line.]

The slopes are not equal, so the points D(1, –2), E(3, 1), and F(6, 6) are not collinear.
