Solution

Given, Distance covered in one around = 800 m

∵ Distance covered in one round = Perimeter of square park

⇒ 800 = 4 × side   ...[∵ Perimeter = 4 × side]

⇒ `800/4 = (4 xx "side")/4`  ...[Dividing both sides by 4]

⇒ Side = 200 m

Now, area of square = Side × Side

= 200 × 200

= 40000 sq m
