The part of the body which contains the ciliated epithelium is the trachea.
Ciliated epithelial structures are epithelial cells that contain a short projection called the cilia. These cilia are small hair like projections over the cell.
The function of epithelium, in general, is to protect the underlying tissues or cells. In addition, the ciliated epithelium contains hairs that push the pathogenic particles away. In the trachea, they are present to protect the respiratory tract form the pathogens.
