Solution
- Forebrain cerebellum. The cerebral cortex contains motor and sensory centres, as well as large regions with no obvious sensory or motor activities. These regions, known as association areas, are in charge of complex functions such as connecting multiple senses, storing memories and facilitating communication.
- The eyes help to observe and judge the distance between the ball and the basket. They provide messages to the brain, which subsequently makes the appropriate judgements.
- The hindbrain cerebellum. The cerebellum is positioned near the back of the brain and is in charge of coordinating voluntary muscle movements as well as maintaining posture, balance and equilibrium.
